'Farm bureau work will be a much more vital factor in the development de-velopment of the community and countv " Mr. Welch said, "when the new plan is put into operation the first of the vear as the individual members -will feel that they are paying pay-ing for something that will he of individual benefit to them instead of something which only benefits them indirectly." FARM BUREAU TO WORK WITH COMMUNITY To Co-operate With College Extension Division in Community Work. To tsist each community in its own pa r t ic u 1 a r p ro blems and to assist the farmer an1 housewife on their own farms and homes that is the program of the Utah county farm bureau for next year as outlined out-lined at a meeting of the executive committee Tuesday. The details of the plan are to be worked out as soon as possible by County Agent J. p. Welch, District Agricultural Inspector In-spector C. J. Surenson and Home Demonstration Agent Miss Kuby Smith. The plan attempted during the past few years, it; was pointed out, was one adopted at the state farm bureau headquarters and sent out to the respective counties and local organizations for them to follow Irrespective Ir-respective of the adaptability of the plan in the various localities. The difficulties thus encountered have been largely responsible for the unpopularity un-popularity of the farm bureau work in some localities. With the extension division' of the Utah Agricultural college always al-ways centering its efforts on individual individ-ual community farm and home work, the farm bureau organization, organiza-tion, instead of working out a different dif-ferent plan, has decided to cooperate co-operate with the extension service in1 trying to develop a community consciousness that will bring the people to realize their own particular partic-ular needs and then feel that the extension ex-tension and farm bureau service is at their command in solving their problems.
