Show Man Sticks to Bizarre Story; Hoax Is Denied SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 8 (UP) Emphatically denying police theories that he pcr-I pcr-I petrated a hoax in order to secure f.-ce transportation to his home town, Big Timber, Mont., J. C. Price, 3T, today stuck to his story of being kidnaped by two strangers December 18. He declared he knew nothing of his house burning or of the finding of a charred body in its ruins. The body, was identified as his own by Price's wife and funeral services for him were held in Big Timber New Year's dav.- Mrs. Price was paid $4000 of a $10,000 life insurance policy held by her husband. Price has been identified by friends here. Sheriff Ed Jirannin and County Attorney John M. McFarlane of Sweet-grass Sweet-grass county, Mont., were expected ex-pected in Salt Lake today to help local police. |
