Ladd. Mrs. Victor Anderson of Salt Lake and Mrs. John Somo of Provo spent last week in Soldier Summit as guests of Mrs. J. E. Wannacott. Mrs. Eliza Thorn of this city who is a member of the state advisory board of the Daughters of Pionecls visited the D. of P. meeting at the Mapleton chapel Thursday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Thorn was accompanied by Mrs. Bernctta Bee k of Provo. One of the most successful parties of this week was given Monday evening eve-ning when a number of relatives surprised Mrs. J. M. Westwood at her home, the occasion being her eightieth birthday anniversary. A delicious picnic supper furnished by the guests was an enjoyable feature of the evening. The tables were decorated with a profusion of beautiful beau-tiful autumn flowers which were brought to the guest of honor. Those who attended the party were: Mrs. Eliza Foster of Salt Lake, and Mrs. G. N. Johnson of Provo, sisters sis-ters of Mrs. Westwood, als6' Miami Mi-ami Mrs. A. H. Walsh, Miss Sadie Wiscombe, Mrs. Lillie Sperry, of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Hansen Han-sen of Benjamin, Mr. and Mrs. W. A large number of old folks of Springville were guests at the Ri-voli Ri-voli theater Thursday afternoon to see the show "King of Kings." A pleasant evening was spent Thursday by members of the Social Twelve Card club when they were entertained at the home of Mrs. Floyd Harmer. Three tables of progressive "500" were arranged. High score prize for the game was awarded to Mrs. Harry Pennington. Fall flowers were prettily arranged about the entertaining rooms. A dainty luncheon was served by the hostess at 11 o'clock to the following follow-ing members and guests. Mrs, Lee Sumsion, Mrs. Lewis Clegg, Mrs. Emma Roland, Mrs. Amasia Rowland, Row-land, Mrs. Amanda Binks, Mrs. Marcellus Neilson, Mrs. Melba Pennington, Pen-nington, Mrs. Hugh Baxter, Mrs. Eldon Palfreyman, Mrs. Burton Groesbeck, Mrs. George Crandall, and Mrs. William H. Brown. -'Mr." and Mrs. Jessie Whiting of Springville attended the northwestern northwest-ern states missionary reunion in Salt Lake Saturday evening, also Arthur Condie attended the California Cali-fornia reunion. The ladies of the Service Star Legion will entertain their partners part-ners at a Hallowe'en party Thursday Thurs-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron L. Crandall, beginning at 7 o'clock. All members are invited in-vited to be present with their partners. part-ners. A promiment social affair of the past week was the wedding supper given Wednesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Harmer at their home in compliment to their daughter daugh-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Eyeston Johnson, who were married mar-ried Saturday. Fall flowers in various var-ious shades and ferns were used in room decorations. A beautiful wedding wed-ding cake formed the centerpiece for the long dining table.
