A large committee of local business men a re working on various phases of the day's activities, and plans already al-ready are well under way for a great time, it is stated. The day will lie ushered in with cannon salute Vit sunrise, which will lie followed by a hand conceit. At 10 o'clock sports for the kiddio.s ' will be conducted nt the city park. At the same hour the older folks will be entertained with a patriotic program in the Opera House, with Leo Hobertson acting as chairman. At, 11 a. m. there will be a hall game at the high school campus. The afternoon activities will open ! with a display of fireworks, which j will be followed with a thrilling ; rodeo. Prizes will be offered for ! the best local rider and the best local bucker. Participants in this ! contest will be required to furnish their own outfits, it is stated. A greased pig catching contest, climbing a greased pole, and other sports will be enjoyed by the crowds at the City park beginning at 4:30 o'clock, and at 5 o'clock a program of horse racing will be staged on Center street. The big patriotic parade will he-gin he-gin at 7 o'clock in the evening, and will be followed by a band conceit at the City park. At 0 o'clock a display of fireworks will he given, and the day's activities will be concluded con-cluded with a dance at Glengarry. While all tile details of the second day's activities have not been worked work-ed out it. is understood that the! afternoon will be devoted to a ball ' game, rodeo, sports and pulliu; matches.
