Show In The Social Realm Mrs. Manilla Brown Reporter, Phone 146 Mrs. Dora Crandall returned "Wednesday "Wed-nesday from a trip to Oregon, where she attended the wedding of her son Hlaine, who was married April 27 to Retha Kerry of McMinnville, Oregon. The following is taken from the locaL paper of that town. ."A beautiful wedding in gold and white took place Wednesday evening at S o'clock when Miss Retha Berry was given in marriage to Jess Plaine Crandall at the home of the bride's mother. Glowing tulips of yellow against a background of snowy lilacs made the house attractive attrac-tive and the central, decorative figure was a canopy of yellow ami white streamers topped with large barrel of pink and white sweet peas, under which the ceremony was performed. per-formed. The bridal party entered, lo the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding Wed-ding March. The bride was gowned gown-ed in canary yellow7 taffeta and mulline, with full length veil of tli-v same shade, and wore a wreath of orange blossoms, and curried a shower bouquet of bridal roses and sweet peas. She was attended by her sister. Miss Zeda Berry, who wore a pale green frock and carried car-ried pink carnations. Lewis Chambers Cham-bers accompanied the groom. The ring ceremony was performed by 1 Rev. Lon Cbamlee. The young couple received many beautiful gifts. They will make their home temporarily in this city." A unique party of the week-end was given Saturday evening when Miss Anna Beardall entertained the members of the winning M. I. A. girls' chorus of the First ward at her home. The affair was given in the form of a "May and May Not" party. Each guest during the evening eve-ning being supposed to reply to all questions and answers tth he words "May or May Not."
