Show RETURNS FROM COLLEGE MEET President Franklin S. Harris, Brigham Young university, has returned re-turned from CMciigo. wlicre he has been in attendance at the convention conven-tion of the National Association of Colleges and Universities. He had a paper to read on the subject, "Emphasizing Standards in Courses of Study aud Electives in Modern Education." "The principal discussions of the convention," said President Harris this morning, "was pertaining to problems of smaller institutions of learning, especially us to ways of impressing students outside the class room with ethical and religious relig-ious influences." At the election of officers President Presi-dent Harris was honored with the position of first vice president of the association. After the convention he spent some time in research at the libraries of the University of Chicago Chi-cago and the University of "Wisconsin, "Wiscon-sin, also at the Minneapolis and St. Paul public library. He was happy to meet former B. T. U. students stu-dents at each of the cities visited. |
