Show LAKE PROJECT IS FEASIBLE WEISS SAYS U. S. Director of Reclamation Economics Favorably Impressed Im-pressed With Project Fertility of the soil, its nccessa-bility nccessa-bility to irrigation and the ease with which it could he drained, makes the Utah Lake Control district, or at least that part of it between: Provo buy and Lincoln beach, a thoroughly thorough-ly feasible project, in the opinion of Andrew Weiss, assistant director of reclamation economics, who with William M. Green engineer in charge of the investigation for the Salt Lake Basin project John Alle-man Alle-man and E. S. Hinckley of the board of supervisors of the TTtah Lake Control district W. L. Whittemore, of the U. Reclamation office, W. O. Creer, of the Utah water storage commission and James B. Tucker, legal advisor of the Utah Lake Control Con-trol district, made an inspection tour of the lands adjacent to the lake south of Provo bay Friday afternoon. af-ternoon. Mr. Weiss was very favorably impressed im-pressed with the general conditions surrounding the Utah Lake project and declared that if the soil is as good as it looks to he there is no doubt about the feasibility of the project .Saturday Mr. Weiss and Mr. Green made a hurried inspection tour of a portion of the lands-lying north of Provo bay, the Skipper bay district and the lowlands i the vicinity of riensnnt Grove, American Ameri-can Fork and Lehi. |
