Show CHILDREN'S CANTATA AT OPERA HOUSE "Tho Runaway Song," a pretty Cantata will be given in the opera bouse this afternoon nt 2 o'clock and evening nt 8 by a large group of children from Ihe elementary schools of the city, under the direction direc-tion of A. K. Booth, music supervisor. super-visor. The entertainment is a benefit bene-fit performance for tile art fund. The story is of n little prince in a faraway kingdom, who finds the whole world of no use to him, for he Is blind. It has been said by a magician that the l'rince will learn lo see in that moment when he forgets himself him-self long enough to lie happy, hut he continues to he the orossest, rudest, unhappiest child alive. Then a song hurries past his garden, gar-den, and the Prince is certain that the vanished song can teach him bow to see. Only two others have heard it Bahette, the little shepherdess shep-herdess whose sheep have followed the runaway; and Paddy, the swineherd, whose pigs have been whisked off by the same magic. . The three children trace the song to. Echo and back again. Caught at last, he returns the pigs and sings his secret, running off this time with the black spectacles! Whereupon, the little Prince opens his eyes and discovers the whole world.
