Show 1 The School Election Before the Springrille Herald will have been published next week the election of a member of the board of trustees of the Nebo school district will have taken place, the election date being set for Wednesday, December 1. i Those qualified to vote at this election include all who voted at the last general election elec-tion November 2. The polling places in this district are the Springville high school, Mapleton school house, and the Clinton school house, or a nearby residence. The judges of the election are, Mrs. Mary E. Finley, Grover Clyde and D. A. Crandall, for Spring ville; E. M. Snow, C. W. Houtz and Myra Murray, Mapleton, and John I. Hayes, James Hicks, and Mrs. R. A. Mitchell, Clinton. Few if any elections place greater responsibilities upon the electorate of this community com-munity than does this one. It gives the people an opportunity to select'-a man who will represent the people of this district on the school board. The responsibilities of this office are manifold and have to do with the training of our young people to bear the burdens of the citizenry of the future. It is therefore important im-portant that our people participate in this election. It is one of our privileges and a profound duty. Every one with boys and girls in our schools should take part. Study the qualifications of the two candidates and vote for the one that in your opinion will give, the district the best administration of the affairs of the schools. ' No doubt there will be some who will fail to see the necessity of voting for a man for this office and as a result their neighbors will elect the school board member. It may develop that the neighbor's choice will not meet with your idea of a school board member mem-ber and so you are disappointed. But if you fail to vote you have no right to complain. In fact, it would seem to some that you were quite out of place if you expressed your views in the matter, if you fail jo vote. And surely you would have no grounds for complaint. Don't let yourself be found in that predicament. Do your duty. i Vote Vote for whomsoevejr you please but vote. i |
