Show lfifaplelon lfews Duane Everett has just returned re-turned from a trip to the East coast. A friend of his from Pennsylvania accompanied him. They spent some time with this boy's parents, then went on to New York and other places of interest. On the way back, they went up to Marinette, Marin-ette, Wisconsin, to visit with Duane's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Fiedor-owicz. Fiedor-owicz. Duane is planning to attend at-tend USU again this year. Don't forget the annual Maple Ma-ple Mountain Hike Saturday, Sept. 28. Everyone is invited and badges will be given to the first 150 hikers to reach the top, also six cash prizes will be given. The hike will begin at the right hand fork of Maple Canyon and run to the top of Monument Peak. Everyone must register in order or-der to be eligible for the prizes. priz-es. The hike will begin at 8 a.m. In case of rain, it will be postponed until Oct. 5. Anyone who hasn't been up Maple Canyon for a long time or who has never seen Utah Valley from the top of Maple-ton Maple-ton Mountain, is in for a wonderful won-derful treat. The summer rains have made the canyons very green and now the autumn leaves are adding their splash of color to the scenery. Recreation leaders urge hikers hik-ers to wear comfortable shoes, hat and sweat shirt or light jacket. Each hiker should have a lunch and a canteen of water.
