Show 'y ' k if I V & v; f R. Ward Webb, Lehi farmer and stockman, candidate for 4-year county commissioner on Republican ticket. lehi resident files for commissioner R. Ward Webb of Lehi, well known stockman and farmer, far-mer, announces his candidacy for 4-year Utah County Commissioner Com-missioner on the Republican ticket. Mr. Webb has been active ac-tive in civic and church affairs for many years. He has served in various capacities in the Republican Re-publican party. He served a mission in Eastern East-ern Canada from 1927 to 1929, was Bishop of the Lehi First ward for nine years, is a member mem-ber of the Lehi Stake High Council. He is a director of the State Bank of Lehi, has been a director di-rector of the Lehi Irrigation Company since 1940 and president pres-ident since 1956. Mr. Webb was elected to serve on the Utah COunty Agricultural Stabilization Stabiliza-tion and Conservation committee commit-tee as chairman for two years. He was appointed by the Secretary Sec-retary of Agriculture, Ezra Taft Benson, to the State Agricultural Ag-ricultural Stabilization & Conservation Con-servation committee in 1957 and served until May, 1961. During the last two years of this time he acted as chairman chair-man of that committee. He has been a member of the Utah County Planning commission since 1950, and has been chairman chair-man of that commission since 1959. , He is married to the former Thelma Goates and they have a son and a daughter. |
