Show ( Naomi ) Thorn, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England. Services held in Provo for Jess C. Balfcn Funeral services were held Thursday of last week in the Berg Drawing room, Provo for Jesse Clements Dalton, 59, a former resident of Springville and brother of Mrs. Grant Thorn, who died at his residence resi-dence in Provo, of a heart attack. Graveside services and interment inter-ment were held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California, Cal-ifornia, Monday forenoon. Mr. Dalton was born Oct. 18, 1902, in Springville, a son of AJonzo Mahlon and Sarah Clements Dalton. He married Grace Charlotte Ray Nov. 29, 1922, in Provo. Mr. Dalton was educated in the Springville schools and graduated from Springville High School. Following his marriage, he made his home in Salt Lake City where he worked as an electrician for D & R G Railroad. Mr. Dalton moved tQ Provo in 1924 where he was employed for a time by the Pacific States Pipe Company. Com-pany. He moved to Los Angeles in 1930 where he worked as a U. S. Postal Clerk until ill health made his retirement necessary. Mr. Dalton returned to Provo following his retirement and was employed by the Utah State Road Commission in the Engineering Department. Mr. Dalton was a member of the Provo Masonic Lodge, Story Lodge F & A. M. No. 4, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason; El Kalah Temple A.A.-O.N.M.S., A.A.-O.N.M.S., Salt Lake City; Provo Shrine Club, and Scottish Scot-tish Rite Club of Central Utah. Survivors include his widow of Provo, a daughter, Mrs. Nick J. (Carol Lee) Ladas, Garden Grove, Calif.; three grandchildren; grandchild-ren; three brothers and one sister, Mahlon A. Dalton, No. Hollywood, Calif.; Vernon M. Dalton, Houston, Tex.; Howard How-ard C. Dalton, North Hollywood, Holly-wood, Calif., and Mrs Grant S. |
