The plot of the show revolves revol-ves around Bette Davis, as Apple Ap-ple Annie, a Broadway character char-acter who writes phony society letters to her daughter in Spain. When the daughter arrives ar-rives ' home, Glenn Ford, a gangster-gambler and all his hoods' transform Bette into the grandest society doll of ' them all.
