Show Mr. and Mrs. Dan Taylor have enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Otis Otte of Odessa, Texas, who spent several days with them. The Ottes were on their way home from Oregon where they went to join a son who had filled an LDS mission there and returned home with them. Mr. Fay Jensen accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Hattie Jensen and Bert and Howard Whiting motored to Rupert, Mapleton News By Mrs. Norril T. Binkt Phone HUnter 9-5875 The Needle Craft Club members mem-bers were entertained at the home of Mrs. Belva Wentz last Thursday where the day was spent in making a star quilt. A delicious luncheon was served serv-ed at noon by Mrs. Lora Bird. Mrs. Bird Nielson and Mrs. Norma Woolsey to 18 members. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lora Bird May 11. Mrs. Paiby Lessard was in Salt Lake City last week to get acquainted with a new grandson at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Carter. Mrs. Agnes Larson of Council Coun-cil Bluffs, Iowa, spent several days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Whiting. Mrs. Larson is a mission friend of Mrs. Whitings while on an LDS mission in Iowa 20 years ago. Idaho, Friday to attend the funeral services of a nephew and cousin. Mrs. Beth Jensen in company comp-any with relatives from Springville Spring-ville was in Ephraim Saturday for the funeral services of a relative. Herbert K. Miner was recently recent-ly installed governor of the Provo Moose Lodge. Installation Installa-tion of officers was conducted Thursday night in the Provo Moose Lodge where their partners part-ners were special guests. Mr. Miner replaces Glen Wester- A family dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clegg Sunday the occasion oc-casion being her birthday. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Louis Meadows and daughters Judy Ann and Marietta from Centerfield Mrs. Lenore Thorpe and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clegg of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Max Clegg and son Danny of Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Seeley of Orem and their children Steven, Diane and Sheri Lynn. gard, who automatically becomes be-comes junior past governor of the lodge. Mr. Miner served as junior governor during the past year. LCB Club members were entertained en-tertained at the home of Mrs. Clyde Mortensen last Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Egidio Carnes-ecca Carnes-ecca motored to Logan Sunday to attend the official engagement engage-ment announcement of their daughter, Marian, which was held in the Catholic Church. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Warren ' and family motored to Logan Sunday to visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dyett. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Allan have recently returned from a weeks visit in Boulder, Colo., where they were guests at the home of their son David and his family. They had the privilege priv-ilege of attending the LDS Church while there. David and his wife are both active in the ward. They were accompanied by Bonnie Breiskey. Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks joined the Erickson family at dinner in Salt Lake City Sunday Sun-day after which they all visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Erickson in Murray. |
