Show Life of inventor reviewed at club An interesting evening was spent Thursday by members of the Ladies Literary club at the home of Mrs. Berton Groesbeck. where Mrs. Clara J. Sumsion reviewed the life of the noted inventor Alexander Graham Bell. A review of the book, "The Chord of Steel," by Thomas P. Costain. added color to the subject as it related the difficulties diffi-culties experienced by Mr. Bell before the telephone was invented. in-vented. In addition to the telephone, tele-phone, he is credited with the invention of many other useful use-ful devices which along with the phone have been further developed through the years. Rea Straw, president, conducted con-ducted business in which Mrs. Helen Crandall reported on the Legislative Council meeting. Mrs. Manila Brown read the club collect; Secretary Golden Johnson, the minutes. The hostess served a nicely arranged lunch before the program, pro-gram, being assisted by her sister, Mae Finley.
