New residents in Mapleton are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lowe, formerly of Springville, who have moved into the Leonard Hatfield home. Several relatives and friends enjoyed a quilting at the home of Mrs. Egidio Carnesecca one day last week. Members of the Needle Craft Club met at the home of Mrs. Spencer Mackley in Provo last Thursday for a day of quilting. A delicious hot lunch was served ser-ved at noon by Mrs. Inez Har-mer, Har-mer, Mrs. Arlena Holley and Mrs. Senate Mendenhall to nine club members. Two new members mem-bers were voted into the club, Mrs. Mae Holley and Mrs. Sarah Mendenhall. Mrs. Fern Whitney is also a recent new member. Visitors at the Steve Losik home during the past week have been two daughters, Mr. Adeline Fowler of Price and Mrs. Marie Chubbuck of Helper. Hel-per. Jay Morgan is in the Utah Valley Hospital for observation observa-tion and treatment. Her children Lou Ann and David are spending several weeks in Clearfield at the home of an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ferron Heaton. Mrs. Beth Jensen was hostess hos-tess to the members of Camp Union DUP at her home last Thursday evening. Fifteen club members enjoyed a history given by Mrs. Opal Spencer and a lesson by Mrs. Irene Freeman. A tasty luncheon was served by the hostess assisted as-sisted by Irene Freeman and Helen Wiscombe. |
