Luncheon was served at small tables and clever decor-ations were used throughout the entertaining rooms, which featured a lovely Christmas tree. Francis Clark entertained with vocal solos, accompanied by Mary Bird and Lois Ander-son entertained with a Christ-mas reading. Golden Pie Crust Mix or Sticks make two crusts you can make two Pumpkin Ice Cream Pies at once, wrap tightly for freezing and be twice as well prepared for happy holiday eating! BAKE at 450 for 8 to 10 minutes. MAKES pie. Prepare pastry for one-cru- st pie as directed on Pillsbury Golden Pie Crust Mix or Sticks package. Prick generously with fork. --Sake at 450 for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Chill crust in freezer. Combine 1 cup pumpkin, cooked or canned 12 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 12 teaspoon ginger 12 teaspoon salt 14 teaspoon nutmeg 116 teaspoon ground cloves Fold in 1 quart vanilla ice cream softened. Turn into chilled crust and place m freezer. Garnish with whipped cream and pecan ' halves, if desired. Special course planned for mothers-to-b- e A course for expectant mothers is being planned here under the sponsorship of the public health nurse with the approval of local physicians Beginning January 8, the classes will be held Monday and Wednesday, from 2 until 4 p.m., at the Junior High school. There will be no charge and an invitation is extended to all women interested, to attend. There will be a total of six lessons covering a period of three weeks and several phases of special interest to mothers-to-b- e will be taken up, including preparation for the new arrival in the home. HUnter Camp Cottonwood DUP has Christmas program Camp Cottonwood DUP held their Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Lelia Mellor Wednesday evening. Mrs. Mel-lor was assisted by Mrs. Na-omi Johnson. The evening's program fea-tured the history of Joel H. Johnson given by a great granddaughter, Mrs. Louis But-ler. Mrs. Hortense Edwards gave the lesson entitled, Pio-neers had faith in their Heav-enly Father." Richard Conover gave and vocal num-bers including Ch r is t m a carols and the group exchang-ed Christmas gifts. The program was concluded with refreshments suggestive of the Christmas season. Family gathers for Christmas party Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Williams were host and hostess Friday evening at an annual Christ-mas party especially for their grandchildren all of whom were excited when Santa to distribute gifts to all. A highlight of the evening was the surprise visit of a granddaughter and her hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. McHargue of Columbus, Ga. Mr. Har-gu- e is the former Gay Ben-nett of Mapleton. A grandson Robert W. Han-sen was home for the party on leave from the Marines and another grandson Clyde Ben-nett is expected home from the Navy within the next few days. A total of forty three family members gathered for the oc-casion and enjoyed the time with visiting, gifts and refresh-ments. Young club group has Christmas party A delightful Christmas party was given at the home of Geniel Crandall for members of the Les Couquettes Wednes-day evening. Marilyn Gustin and Kathleen Bearnson were Games and refreshments and the exchange of Christmas gifts were enjoyed during the evening highlighted by a visit from Santa Claus. Special guests were Marilyn Bown and Linda Crandall of Salt Lake City. Miss LuDean Pyper came from San Francisco, Calif., to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Pyper and other relatives and friends over the holidays.
