Young Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Fourth-Tenth ward chapel, for Mrs. Anna Parkin Young, 79, who died Tuesday at the Utah Valley Hospital, where she had been confined since Friday, a result of a stroke. Bishop Grant Nielson of the Tenth ward, will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Friday from 8 until 9 o'clock and Saturday before the services. Burial will be in the evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Young was born at Murray, February 13, 1882, a daughter of Fred and Mary Jane Barnes Parkin. Lehi and was married to Herbert Her-bert Young June 17, 1902. The marriage was later solemnized solemniz-ed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Young died in 1946. They lived at Mona for about 35 years .after their marriage and came to Springville in 1938. Their home was at 488 East Center Street. Mrs. Young had always been active in LDS church affairs. She served as Relief Society president and as YWMIA president pres-ident at Mona and has been active in Relief Society in Springville. She had also served ser-ved as a stake missionary. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Golden (Zelma) Romney of Pullman, Wash.; four grandchildren grand-children and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Parkin of Salt Lake City and a sister, Mrs. Norman Scott of Provo. |
