Student signs contract to teach on coast Barbara Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Phillips of this city, who received a B.S. degree from the Utah State University in June, has signed a contract to teach physical education at the Trident Tri-dent junior high school in the Anaheim Union school district, California. She is presently employed in Santa Cruz, Calif., as a camp and swimming counselor. Barbara has been active in all professional events during her four years at the USU and was selected as one of five outstanding physical education edu-cation majors in the Education Department. As a result of her special interest in physical education, she has received practically every ev-ery award given students from the Womens' Intramurals Association. As-sociation. She was elected vice-president vice-president of the Physical Education Edu-cation Majors and Minors Club the past year and was selected by the head of the Physical Education Department Depart-ment to be chairman of the Agathon department display for 1961. |
