Show Republican candidates to be introduced at major events, set Aug. 26, Sept. 1 The Republican party in Springville is going all out during dur-ing the next few days to acquaint ac-quaint townspeople with the candidates for election this fall and to give everyone an idea for what they stand, during dur-ing two major events. Friday evening at 7 p.m. the Republican Ladies club is sponsoring a social evening to which everyone is invited. The event will be on the aujoining lawn and garden of the Dave Friel and Harrison Conover homes and everyone is invited. In case of storm it will be at Memorial Hall. All local, county coun-ty and state candidates have been invited to attend and it will afford an opportunity to become better acquainted with candidates. Mrs. Orvil Clark is president presi-dent of the club assisted by the officers. The gathering is free to everyone. Next Thursday,. Sept. 1, the Republican Precinct is sponsoring spon-soring a breakfast from 6 until 11 a.m. on the South side of the City Park. Tickets for this event may be secured from precinct pre-cinct officers before the event or at that morning. Everyone is invited regardless of politics. Special invitations have been extended to all Republican candidates can-didates on & local, county and state level, to attend the breakfast break-fast and get acquainted with townspeople and to answer questions which may be asked concerning their stand on various var-ious subjects. The funds derived from the breakfast will be used for the campaign. Harvy Robbins is Chairman of the breakfast. Harrison Conover is precinct chairman assisting Mr. Rob-bins. Rob-bins. Mrs. Bird Brown is precinct pre-cinct vice-chairman and Mrs. I Margaret Conover, Secretary. |
