Show Army man does well at camp Army Pfc. Douglas C. Or-win, Or-win, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Orwin, 802 Brook-side Brook-side Dr., was a member of the team which recently placed plac-ed first in the Ft. ' Lewis (Wash.) .22 caliber pistol matches. Orwin, a machine gunner in Company B of the 4th Division's Divi-sion's 12th i Infantry, . entered the Army in February 1959 and completed basic combat training at Fort Ord, Calif. He is a 1956 graduate of Wheatland High School. ' 1 i Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Spaf-ford Spaf-ford were at a banquet -meeting of the Sanpete Cattlemen Friday evening at Ephraim, at which some 300 people attended. attend-ed. Mrs. Spafford (Helen) pres ident of the State Cowbelles, was one of the guest speakers as was Hugh Colton, president of the state Cattlemen and other state officials and county coun-ty committioners. Mrs. Spafford spoke also at a dinner-meeting at Woodruff Monday night, at which cattlemen cattle-men and their wives from Rich county attended and is also to address a dinner-meeting at Manti Saturday evening. |
