Show Sr. High Student of the Week . . . Editor's Note A series of "Students of the Week" is being be-ing published in the Spring-ville Spring-ville Herald, recognizing students stu-dents in the senior class of the high school student body. A student-faculty committee selects se-lects the student taking into consideration such attributes as citizenship, school service, attitude at-titude and use of capacities. Gloria Sargent Talented, hardworking, energetic, ener-getic, cheerful and cooperative, 'these are some of the adjectives adjec-tives students and teachers use to describe the student of the week, Gloria Sargent. Gloria has been busy in student affairs af-fairs at Springville High School. In her sophomore year she was a homeroom representative represen-tative and during her junior year, vice-president of her class. She is a member of the Pep Club, FHA, and is a soloist solo-ist and officer in the A Cap-pella Cap-pella Choir. This talented young lady has received much recognition for her ability as a musician. She won a gold certificate from the Federated Music Clubs as a result of three consecutive superior ratings in music festival fes-tival competition. Gloria has probably performed on more school assemblies and programs pro-grams than any student in the high school, and each performance perform-ance is enthusiastically received. receiv-ed. Many church and civic organizations or-ganizations have also been thrilled by her playing. Miss Sargent's church activity acti-vity has been as commendable as her school record. She is a Silver Gleaner, a Sunday School organist, and has earned earn-ed five individual awards along with serving in several other church capacities. Gloria is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.
