Her newspaper had won nu-merous awards since she took over after the death of her hus band in 1934. A civic leader and club worker, she was list-ed in Whos Who in America Surviving- are a son, Nor-man, a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Naser, Rich-field; one sister, Mrs. Sumsion, Springville and a brother, T. Reed Johnson of Logan. Relatives Attend Services for Rula Fullenbach A number of relatives and friends were in Richfield Mon-day to attend funeral services for Mrs. Rula J. Fullenbach, 64, well-know- n Utah newspap-er publisher and Richfield civic leader, who died Wednesday of last week of a heart attack. She was ill only about a week. Mrs. Fullenbach was a sis-ter of Mrs. Julia Sumsion of this city. She was born at Mapleton, June 24, 1894, a daughter of Wallace and Har-riet Johnson. Her mother, a long time resident of Spring- - Brookside School Hews of theYeek Heath Lawrence and Alan-ine Kunze, Reporters. jlrs Anderson's class has the words and the mu-sic to asong. They are going to sing it to their parents. They are also making a book about the birds they see. Mrs Lewis' class had two children out this week with mumps and measles. They are Clark Bish-op and Sherry Todd. The first grade has a new boy, Elden Okelberry. He went to school here part of last year and has gone to school in Moroni since then. His little brother has al-so started here in tViQ ih,,. garten. In Mrs. LeRoy's second grade, Cindy Oakley and Ran-dy Gurr each recently had their eighth birthday anniver-saries. Each of them brought a treat to their class. Mr. Allred's sixth grade has just finished an interesting unit on social studies. Commit-tees from the class made dif-ferent kinds of maps. Their reports were read to the class and then the written reports were placed on exhibit. They are now beginning to study about China. Mr. Frandsen's Fifth grade had a pet show last Friday. Most of the children brought pets to school. We had mainlj dogs, but there were also gui-nea pigs, a turtle, fish, cats and other things. We had then: in a big ring out on the soutl lawn. All the other children o; the school took turns going by and seeing the pets. The fifth grade group from one of the reading classes gave a play foi library week. Those taking part were Darrell, Howard Connie, Marsha, Marcia, Ran-dy, Bill and Larry. It was real-ly well done. We are getting ready for our spring festival which will be held May 13, ii the weather cooperates. Thi: Thursday, the Kiwanis club i: having the finals in the citj tournaments for marbles ant hopscotch. Each school wil nave four contestants in the tournament. Of course we hope to win all the prizes. Camp Springville DUP Holds Meet Camp Springville DUP met with Mrs. Jennie Thorpe for their April meeting with Mrs. Nell Condie, Mrs. Vida Whit-ney and Mrs. Bernice Ennis assisting hostesses. Donna Baker was in charge of the meeting at which Mrs. Thorpe gave the history of her grandparents, Niels Christian and Karen Sophia Nielson. Am-brose Shurtz entertained with violin selections in connection with the histories. The lesson was given by Mrs. Florence Ekker on, "The First Company to Enter Salt Lake Valley." The picture showed the treacherous river on a thousand mile run to Lake Mead taken by Charles Egert, traveling photographer who was on his way to the west coast. The picture was especially interesting to Mr. Allan who was a guide on the picture making trip from Lees Ferry to Lake Mead. The complete picture which took two summers, was shown on a thirty-foo- t cinerama screen. Brownie Troop 132 Sets Investiture Brownie Troop No. 32 has scheduled an investiture cere-mony for nine new members on Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the Springville Community Church. New girls receiving their pins at the ceremony will be: Michelle Allred, Jan Allred, Janet Breuninger, Paulette Carter, Nora Cole, Mary Carol Laney, Pamela Peden, Martha Ransom and Toni Jean Vodo-pic- h. Betty Anderson will be presented with a leader's pin, and Mary Breuninger, with a troop committee member's pin. Representatives of the Utah Valley Scout Council are ex-pected to be in attendance.
