Show Funeral Services Held Tues. for Luella S. Johnson Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in the Mapleton ward chapel Tuesday afternoon, for Mrs. LuElla Snow Johnson, 68, who died Saturday in a Provo Hospital of a long illness. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Mrs. Johnson was born at Mapleton Sept. 10, 1890, a daughter of Edwin M. and Francis Evaline Perry Snow. She had lived there practically all her life. She attended Mapleton schools and was married mar-ried to Elmer Johnson June 15, 1911 at Mapleton and the marriage was later solomnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Johnson served in the Mapleton Relief Society presidency presi-dency eight years and also served ser-ved as a teacher and class leader. lead-er. She was president of the ifWMIA two years and also taught in Primary. She was a charter member of C a m p Mapleton DUP. Surviving are her husband and eight sons and daughters: Mrs. Douglas (Lenore) Bills; Mrs. Floyd (Merilyn) Tuttle, Verl E. and Ralph a Johnson all of Mapleton; Donald S. Johnson, Phillipsburg, Mont.; Mrs. G. F. (Edda) Heaton of Clearfield; Mrs. Orean (Louise) Hanson, Provo and Wilburn K. Johnson, Madison, Wis.; 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Jensen of Mapleton. |
