She is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Girot of Provo, formerly of Maple-ton. Maple-ton. Genean was beautiful in a white hand crocheted gown made by her mother. It was fashioned with a form fitting bodice finished with long top-ering top-ering sleeves. The full skirt was floor length. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion cascaded from a pearl studded crown. She carried a bridal bouquet fashioned of a single orchid circled with stephanotis. Attending her as matron of honor was her sister-in-law, Jolene Granes and the following follow-ing bridesmaids. Ann Wis-combe, Wis-combe, LaRae Phillips, Lucille Wing, Helen Wing who were all pretty in lavendar linen sheaths, and carried hand made nosegays in lavendar. Petite Francine Girot was flower girl, also in lavender, and carried car-ried a basket of lavender flowers. flow-ers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Girot was attired in a pale blue sheath. Mrs. Heywood chose a biege linen sheath and each wore corsages of pink carnations. The groom chose his brother-in-law. Llovd Granes as best man. Ushers were Reed Heywood and Joe Girot Jr. Greeting guests at the door were an uncle and aunt to the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Car-ley. Car-ley. Ruth Stewart and Carol Bertolgio presided at the guest book. Gifts were displayed by Edna Powell, Betty Girot and Rose Bertoglio. Gift bearers were Ronald Townsend and Gary Colliana. Refreshments were served buffet style with Mrs. Leda Christiansen at the punch bowl. The background music was played by Christine Whiting. Elmer W. Bird of Provo was master of ceremonies and introduced in-troduced the following: reading, John Holley'; dance, three girls from Provo; accordian solo, Gerald Pinarelli; vocal solo, Don Smith; pantomime, Gay Bennett and Bonnie DeGraw; a toast to the bride and groom was given by Mrs. Ethel Erick-son Erick-son of Salt Lake City. The prayers were given by Preston Bushman and Welby Warren. |
