Deeben in Temple A lovely bride of the autumn nuptial season was Mrs. Jay C. Deeben, the former Rachel Ann Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Victor Phillips of this city. The bride-, ing their home for the present at the David-Monthon Air Fore base near Tucson, Ariz., where Jay will continue his training in the US Air Force. groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Deeben also of Springville. The wedding vows were sol-omnized sol-omnized in the Salt LaKe temple, tem-ple, Oct. 23, with President John Hawkes officiating and later parents of the groom hosted hos-ted a wedding luncheon in Salt Lake for members of the immediate families and the wedding party. The following evening, parents par-ents of the bride entertained at a wedding reception in the Third-Ninth ward church. The bride chose a -beautifully designed wedding gown of sa-dn sa-dn net and lace overlay, handmade hand-made with full floor-length skirt paneled in wide lace and graceful scallops touching the floor. The molded bodice was of lace over satin with sa-brina sa-brina neckline and long sleeves with lily points at the wrist. She wore a stately crown of pearls and sequins releasing a finger-tip veil of illusion net. Her bridal bouquet was heart-shaped heart-shaped with pink rose-buds and stephanotis surrounding large white mums and pink feathered feather-ed carnations. Bernell Loveridge was . best man. - Assisting in the receiving line were parents of the .bride and groom, Mrs. Phillips wearing wear-ing a pink linen and Mrs. Deeben, Dee-ben, pink lace over satin. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Blaine C. Phillips, brother and sister of the bride and Bruce Deeben and Lamar Phillips were' ushers. In the gift room were Barbara Bar-bara Phillips, Doris Mae Phillips, Phil-lips, Mrs. JoAnn Eddins, Iris Phillips and Velma Phillips, assisted as-sisted by Ina Gae Phillips, :athy Eddins, Glenn Deeben and David Phillips, gift bearers. bear-ers.
