'c" Mr. and Mrs. George Black, now at home in Springville following fol-lowing August 28 wedding. Mrs. Black is the former Miss Katheryn Degn. Wedding in Salt Lake Temple Unite Mr., Mrs. George Black Lovely in every detail was the wedding reception re-ception honoring George W. Black and his lovely lov-ely young bride, the former Miss Katheryn to Yellowstone ' Park and are now at home in Springville. George plans to continue his schooling at the BYU on an athletic scholarship and Katheryn Kath-eryn is employed in Provo. Both were popular graduates of the high school, where George served as student body mayor and Katheryn, president of the senior class. Degn, who were married in the Salt Lake Temple Thursday, August 28. The reception was held the following evening in the Third-Ninth Third-Ninth ward church, where the young couple greeted a host of relatives and friends. The bride was attired in an attractive floor-length wedding gown of lace over satin, with a tulle flounce tapered to form a slight train. Sequins and pearls accented the V-neckline and tulle flounce. Her finger-tip veil of soft net, fell from a pearl studded crown. She held a white Bible with a bouquet of tea rose-buds surrounded by yellow miniature roses and white stephanotis. An autumn color theme was emphasized in attendants attire at-tire and other details of the reception. re-ception. Mrs. Penny Nielson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore light green lace while Miss Jenna Lee Myers, My-ers, Miss Rosalee Stevens, Miss Dian Brown and Mrs. Ann Gill, the latter a sister of the groom, were attired in identical pale yellow satin embossed taffetta. They carried baskets of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums with light brown satin streamers. stream-ers. Little JaNene and Deniece Nielson, nieces of the bride, were flower girls wearing pink taffeta styled after that of the bridesmaids. Mrs. Degn wore a green jersey and Mrs. Black, grey floral. Standing as best man for the groom was his brother, Ray Black. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Garrett greeted guests at the door. Mrs. Ray Black was at the guest book. In the gift room were Mrs. Valdo Degn, Mrs. Dee Myers and Mrs. John Jordison, aunts of the bride. Serving were Karen Oldroyd, Susan Strong, Linda Mae Hou-ser, Hou-ser, Karen Haymond, Linda Alleman, Earlene Child, Jean-ine Jean-ine Holley, Charlotte Curtis, Karen Snow.
