During a storm at Brookville, Ills., Corsica academy was struck. by lightning light-ning and two girls were killed outright, while three others and a teacher were badly hurt. All those killed and injured in-jured were in the recitation room when the bolt struck. The bolt first struck the belfry, and descending through the ceiling, ran along the blackboard at which two1 students were at work, hurling them to the floor. |
