Show FIGHTING FILIPINOS. AMERICANS CAPTURE TEN FORTS AND A SULTAN. Two Americans Are Killed and Seven Wounded, While One Hundred and Fifteen Moros Meet Death. Captain Pershing's column has defeated de-feated the sultan of Amparuganosa's force of Moros in the Taraca country on the east shore of Lake Lanao, island isl-and of Mindanao. The Americans captured ten forts. One hundred and fifteen Moros were killed, 13 wounded wound-ed and 60 were made prisoners. The Moros captured included the sultan, Two Americans were killed and seven were wounded. The ten forts constitute serious and strong positions on the banks of the Taraca river and from them the Moros Mo-ros vigorously resisted Captain Pershing's Per-shing's advance. The American troops attacked the forts Monday and captured cap-tured eight of them without suffering any losses, though the 36 obsolete cannon mounted on the fortifications were served with the best of the ene ray's ability. The garrison of the ninth fort resisted re-sisted fiercely and Captain Pershing ordered the fort to be shelled and captured cap-tured by assault, which was done.
