Show NEW IDEAS IN MAIL SERVICE In Switzerland It Collects Bills and Brings Money to the House. Switzerland has as good a postal service as can be found anywhere. It has about 16,000 postoffices and about 2,000 letter boxes, and it delivers mails to the very tops of the Alps. The post al service does many things that our officials would not think of doing. It acts as banker and express company for the people. It will collect your bills for you and bring the money to the house. If you live in Switzerland and a man owes you, say. two dollars, all you have to do is to send him a bill for the amount in a sealed letter with a word or two to the postoffice on the outside of the envelope, and, in addition, addi-tion, a 2-cent stamp. This stamp pays the postoffice for its trouble in collecting collect-ing and delivering the money to you. The charge is about 1 per cent of the amount. |
