Show All About a Corn. A lady who was grievously tormented torment-ed with a corn, was advised by one of her friends to anoint it with phosphorus, phos-phorus, which she did; she forgot, however, to tell her husband, before retiring at night. It bad just struck twelve when the husband awoke, antl he was startled at seeing something sparkle at the foot of the bed. He had never heard of a firefly in the locality, nor did he remember seeing surli a terrible looking object as he beheld at that moment. Reaching carefully out of bed for one of his slippers, he raised it high in the air. and brought il down with great force on the mysterious light.
