Show NEVADA SHEEP MAN REPORTS OIL FIND Oil seeping into a well on tho ranch of F. Florio, near Duckwater. recently, so polluted, the water that sheep "and cattle refused to drink it, according to the Ton-opah Ton-opah Daily Times. The oil came into the well at a depth of 1S6 feet, while Florio was drilling for artesian waier. It Is said that the oil was to heavy and so contaminated contam-inated the water that drilling operations were discontinued. The striking of oil in the well is said to have created intense excitement in the Duck water country, and when the report of the discovery reached Tonopah local owners of ground in that locality were jubilant. Several expect to go to Duck-, water at once and Investigate the find. The well, which was being drilled for the purpose of supplying water to livestock, live-stock, is located not far from what is called the Lost Hills country and is understood un-derstood to be about three miles from the Ixjst Hilts property, owned by J. L. Flanders, Flan-ders, Fred Antoniazzla, R. H. Jaffey. Joe Clifford and others.
