Chicago and Cincinnati Cin-cinnati divided the holiday bill today, the leagrue leaders dropping the morning game, 3 to 4, and winning the afternoon game, 4 to 2. Merkle's homer broke the tie of the first contest, giving Chicago the game after each club had scored three runs by bunching hits. Vaughn's wildness in the first inning of the second game, coupled with Rath's double, Daubert's sacrifice, Neale's single and a double steal by Neale and Kopf, gave the visitors a lead which Chicago was unable to overtake.
