Show SPIRITED TRADIfJG FEATURE OF MARKET i Eureka Lilly Forced Down Four and a Half Points During Session. The session on the local stock market yesterday brought out some of the most spirited trading seen in some weeks, and the day's total of business was the best for many a day. 120.300 shares of stock changed hands at a total market value of 537.813. as. Kureka Lilly again played the leading role and was forced down points during dur-ing the day. One of the bigger dealers on the market entered the morning fray with apparently unlimited selling orders, and while there were plenty who wanted want-ed the stoek Its availability for purchase sent it down from the first sale at 41 cents to a close of 30U bid, 37 asked. Thirty-three thousand three hundred shares of this stock were dealt in yesterday yes-terday Uumors of strikes and near-strikes on both the Eureka Lilly and the Kureka Hullion were almost as plentiful on the exchange as there were brokers. The mining men interested neither confirmed nir denied the rumors ami, while tho speeulatlve element took considerable interest in-terest in the stocks, the more conservative conserva-tive ones held off, waiting for more tangible tan-gible evidence of success. Strength was shown all along the list, with fractional recessions noted in some stocks. Tlntle Standard was little traded In, the closing sale at $3.77Vj showing a slight loss. .South Standard proved strong, and gained close to 16c bid and 0c asked. Some of the stock was sold for 1" cents. There were some around the market yesterday who predicted that this stock would be the next of the Tin-tic Tin-tic .mines to prove a sensation on the board.
