Show SOCIETY Studio' Tea Will Be Given by Art Club I i A STUDIO tea will be given tins after- , noon by the art section of the Ladies' Literary olub at the clubhouse, club-house, in compliment to Mrs. Florence K. Woodruff, who lias recently been made an honorary member of tile club and had made a number of art contributions to adorn the clubhouse. The Authors' club will entertain tonight to-night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Rlter on East First South street, in honor of the professors of the university who have lectured before the club the last year. Mrs. B. L,. Oorum will entertain at her home, l27 East First South street, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. George A. fcwirt, who will leave soon for California to make their home. Mrs. M. H. Rears will entertain the Happy Hour club at luncheon this afternoon after-noon at her home, 2269 Green street. Mrs. Max Beaver entertained the Tintre Nous c!ub at luncheon yesterday at her home on Ninth Bast street. Lilacs and other spring garden flowers decorated the tea table. The afternoon was Bpent at cards. Mrs. Beaver was assisted by Mrs. S. S. Jones. The club members are Mrs. R. J. .lerr, Mrs. Bert Fox, Mrs. W. E. Coulam, Mrs. M, Z. Forscutt, Mrs. John F.berl, Mrs. Matt -Humph, Mrs. T. B. Coffman. Mrs. A. Bailev, Mrs. Georsce Morgan, Mrs. Ii-H. Ii-H. Chapman, Mrs. Victor M. Stephenson and Mrs. Beaver. Celebrating the seventh birthday anniversary anni-versary of her daughter, Kathryn, Mrs. N F. Shailer entertained yesterday afternoon after-noon at her home on A street. A birthday cake was In the center of the tea table, with bright colored streamers of various hues extending to the corners of the table. ta-ble. The afternoon was spent in games, followed by tea. The guests were Miss Betty Brown, Miss Adele Williams. Miss Mlgnon Campbell, Camp-bell, Miss Helen Johnson, Miss Ruth Lee and Blaine Campbell. Banner review No. 11, Maccabees, will hold a regular meeting today.. The Overseas Cheer club will meet this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hotel Utah. The meeting of the Wasatch Literary club, scheduled for today, has been postponed post-poned for one week. The meeting will be with Mrs. G. W. Barrows. The Triloba Girls' club of the T. W. C. A. will meet this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Business Girls' club will meet at Communitv house this evening at S o'clock and will cook dinner under the supervision of Miss Leah Jennings. Professor Pro-fessor Paul of the University of Utah will lecture in the evening on "Nature Studies." The Glee club -will meet at 7:30 p. m. Maior and Mrs. Clarence D. Lang'and Major Lang's mother, Mrs. C. H. Lang, have arrived from New Tork to spend a few days with Mrs. Lang's parents, Colonel Colo-nel and Mrs. K. A. Wall, on their way to California. Major Lang recently arrived in New York from overseas on convalescent convales-cent leave, and he will tour California by automobile with his wife and mother to recuperate. , Mrs. Walter Little and small daughter and Mrs. Hugh Rhodes have returned from California, where they spent the winter. Mrs. E. B. Critchlow has gone to Vas-sar, Vas-sar, where she will be present-at the graduation of her daughter, Miss Anne Critchlow. Mrs. Harry Fisher Brown and little daughter, Betty, and Mrs. Curtin F. Parr and baby have returned from California, where tliey spent the past two months. si: Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Adams have gone to California for a several weeks' visit. Mrs. Robert N. Young is recovering at her home from an attack of influenza. |
