Show "CAP" J. C. PAUL TO QUIT FIRE SERVICE The resignation of J. C. Paul, assistant chief of the fire department, has been accepted ac-cepted Ty Chief W. H. J'.ywater, and became be-came effective yesterday. "Cap" Paul, as he is known in the department, de-partment, joined the fire fighters in 1S'4 and has served nearly all the time since that date. Chief Bywater and Commissioner Commis-sioner of Public Safety Karl A. Scheid both said Paul's resignation was unexpected unex-pected and they were unable to account lor tne veteran fire fighter's action |
