In some of the hospitals hos-pitals It was necessary to remove the patients, pa-tients, including some Americans, to the cellars for safety. Nearly every window in one of the largest hospitals was shattered, as were the windows In the historic church ad-Joining, ad-Joining, now also used as a hospital. Scores of American patients and hundreds of sick and wounded French soldiers were In the various Hospitals attacked. |
