Show JOHN ALFRED JOHNSON, Salt Lake lumberman and resident of the city the last forty-two years, whose death occurred at his home Sunday. LOCAL LUMBERMAN CLAIMED BY DEATH John Alfred Johnson Was Resident of Salt Lake Last 42 Years. John Alfred Johnson, 64 years old and a resident of Salt Lake the last forty-two forty-two years, died Sunday at his residence, 642 North Second West street. Mr. Johnson John-son was prominent In the lumber -interests of the state. The funeral will be held at Mount Olivet cemetery at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon. Friends may view the body at the residence resi-dence from noon until 1 o'clock this afternoon. Born in Sweden, April 4T 1S54, Mr. Johnson John-son went to Chicago in 1S70. Six years later he came to Utah, being a resident of Salt Lake since. He Was employed as salesman at the Sells Lumber company for sixteen years and at the Parker Lumber Lum-ber company fifteen years. Mr. Johnson was one of the founders of the Swedish Lutheran church of Salt Lake and was a member of the church board several terms. He leaves a daughter, Miss Bertha L. Johnson, and a brother, C. W. Johnson. |
