Italians Hold Line. ROME, April 28. The Italian war office of-fice communication, issued today, says: "During the nights of April 26-27 the enemy attempted to concentrate his artillery ar-tillery fire on various portions of our lines and to push his patrols toward the right bank of the Piave. These attempts were frustrated by effective counter-battery actions and machine gun fire. "North of Piave di Ledro we drove back an enemy reconnoitering party. On the remainder of the front the artillery activity was normal."
