OCR Text	Show CHARGE THAT PACKER REPORT WAS FALSE WASHINGTON, Oct. 3. Controversy over the .federal trade commission's profiteering prof-iteering report criticizing the meat packers, pack-ers, was renewed in the . senate, today, Senator Smoot of Utah reiterating charges that the report was an ex-parte affair and ' in some respects "absolutely false." Senator Kendrick of Wyoming and others oth-ers defended the report and attacked alleged al-leged unfair practices of the packers upon livestock growers and consumers. "Some of the worst criticisms of the commission." Sena tor Smcot declared, "were of actions compelled by food administration ad-ministration orders."
