L. D. S. U. GIRLS TO DISCARD UNIFORMS Girls of the Latter-day Saints' university univer-sity will not be required to wear the regulation uniform this year. This decision de-cision was reached as the result of the government's appeal for the saving of woolen materials and also the ruling r eh tins to the use of uniforms in the high schools for the duration of the war. There is probably 50 per cent of the students who would have been able to use last year's uniform. Each dress requires re-quires three and one-half yards of material. mate-rial. It would have worked a hardship on manv of the students as the cost of the material has increased from $1 to $4 a yard.
