Show Copperton By Mary Brown The L.D.S. and the M. E. Community Com-munity churches combined to present a Christmas festival Saturday Sat-urday evening in the high school auditorium at 7:00 p. m. After a short program there was a visit from Santa Claus, who presented present-ed all the children with Christ- mas stockings. C. E. Pollard was in charge of the affair assisted by Stephen Pickering and Ray Larson, Mrs. George Knudsen arranged ar-ranged the program and George Nix and II. F. Wilcox had charge of the tree. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mead were hosts at a breakfast for Mr. and Mrs. Ray Buckle and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sours Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mellon and daughter of Venice, Cal., spent the Christmas holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Pickering. Mrs. James Denver entertained her breakfast club Thursday morning. Mrs. M. A. Stuart of Sandy was presented the bridge prize and Christmas gifts were exchanged among the guests. ? Mr. and Mrs. Ray Buckle spent Christmas day in Salt Lake City with relatives and friends. Burton Mead left for his home in Detroit, Michigan, Tuesday morning after having spent the past few weeks here visiting his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mead. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Miller spent Christmas with relatives in Pro-vo. Pro-vo. Mr. and Mrs. Lester McKeller and daughters spent Christmas with relatives in Tooele. Mrs. L. S. Breckon was hostess at a prettily appointed luncheon at her home Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. J. C. Landenberger, Mrs. Louis Buchman and Mrs. H. C. Jenkins. Master Wally Maly of Los Angeles, An-geles, Cal., is here to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Maly. I Mark Hansen and daughter, Dorothy, spent Christmas in Salt Lake with relatives. Mrs. C. F. Sullenger and Mrs. Lewis Watson attended the Navy Na-vy Mothers' New Years party at the Ciyic Center in Salt Lake City yesterday. The Misses Jean and Mary Frances Frazier are at home to spend the holidays with their mother, Mrs. R. G. Frazier. Mr. and Mrs. David Curry and family returned home Tuesday from Vernal, where they spent Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Crawford Craw-ford and family spent the Christmas Christ-mas holiday with relatives at Fountain Green. M. C. Colyar of Copperton was operated on Friday for appendicitis appendi-citis at St. Mark's hospital, Salt Lake Citjr. |
