Show WANSHIP SOLDIER OF 91ST DIVISION TELLS OF FIGHTING In a Jotter received by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young of Wanshlp, Utah, from their eon. Serjeant Edwin R. Youn of D company. 347th machine eun battalion. Ninety-first division, he sayst was on the fir-ins fir-ins line three times and was at the front ready to go again when the armistice was signed. I was under shell fire for eighteen days at one time. Our division certainly made a great showing, and received honors nnd high praise from the general. the lS1st brigade, 3S2nd in- Scrgt. E- B. Young, fantry, ' 347th ma-cnine ma-cnine gun battalion, were especially complimented for the good work they did. They are ficrhters from the word go, and nothing could turn them back wjien oice started. They made, the Huns run, and fought the Prussian guard Germany's best. M'e had a very hard sector to fight hi, and took part in some verv fierce battles. "It was a great sensation to have high explosives and machine gun and rifle bullets bul-lets failing all around you. I have been nearly all over France, walking and riding rid-ing mostly walking. I am now in P.el-glum, P.el-glum, snd-dike thj. country mufb better than France. Will be leaving for home one of theso days, now the war is ended." |
