Jen- j sen acting as hostesses. . Miss Margaret i Thurman continued the reading of the ; book "How to Live."' and a discussion of j the subject by the members followed. The members present voted to meet semi- t monthly after the holiday recess. The ; hostesses served a h o'clock luncheon to the members and guests. Mrs. Fannie C. Miles. Mrs. J. F. Neff : and Mrs. R. W. Candland entertained the Twentieth Century club at the home of Mrs. Miles on Thursday afternoon. An interesting Christmas programme, consisting consist-ing of an article. "What Christmas Means Tin's Year." by Mrs. Fannie C. Miles; a book review, "The Other Wipe Man," by Mrs. T-I. C. Jacobs, and a talk. "Christmas "Christ-mas Customs in Different Ianrls." by Miss Tina Fricksen. was rendered. Twenty I members and guests enjoyed a delicious luncheon served by the hostesses at the j conclusion of the programme. , Under the auspices of the officers of the Woman's Missionary society, the members of the Presbyterian church presenter! pre-senter! an African play. "Kanjundu."' on Thursday evening, in the Presbyterian churcim to an appreciative audience. Musical numbers were contributed by the Wasatch Senior Girls' quartette. Miss Jean Meyriok returned Monday from a Thanksgiving visit in Salt Lake j with her sisters. Misses S'eneta and Adele i Meyrick. '. The Woman's Missionary society was j entertained Wednesday afternoon at the j home of Mrs. Abner Crane. The devo- i I tionals were conducted by Mrs. T. M. j ! KeiiHseff. Miss Grace Newman reviewed I , n article, "Prayer and Missions." and j Miss Ethel Ollis read a very interesting in Colombia. The hostess was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. E. W. Wall, in serving luncheon to twenty-six members and guests. |
