This was by far the hardest-fought game yet played and was evenly contested throughout. The opposing fiingcrs, Grace Cook of the sophs and Irene Dew is of the winners, engaged in a pitchers' battle. Both twirled well and - showed good control, with plenty of speed. The lay-off of several sev-eral days also appeared to have done the fielders good, as in t he held a number of spectacular plays were performed that showed a great improvement over the four other games which took place last week. Tlie game was not won until the last inning. In that frame the seniors batted bat-ted hard and sent three tallies over, which placed them five runs ahead. However, How-ever, the sophs came back with two runs, but Pitcher Dewis speeded up and put the sophs out. Grace Cook and Gertrude Martin played a. stellar game for the sophs, while Trieste Pearson and Lillian Carey played exceptionally excep-tionally well for the victors. This victory gives the seniors a firm hold on second place, while the sophomores sopho-mores will have to be content with third. No more games will be played by cither the seniors or sophomores. The freshmen a nd juniors have one more match to play. Tlie juniors are at the head of the standing, while the freshmen fresh-men grace the bottom.
