Show HOOVER OFFICIAL TO MEET WOOLGROWERS Joseph p. Cotton and Otller Prominent Men Will Attend the Convention. One of the noted speakers scheduled to lake part in the sessions of the National Woolprowers convention to be held in Salt Lake on January 17 to 19, Inclusive, its Joseph P. Cotton of Chicago, who was named by Herbert O, Hoover to take charse of the meat division of food conservation con-servation and regulation work for tire government. Mr. Cotton occupies a position that makes him a most important man 1o the sheep and livestock industry of the entire en-tire country. He will not only attend the woolgTowers' convention, but will also take part in the convention of livestock raisers which will be held here for three days just prior to tho opening of the sheepmen's convention. A number of prominent men are scheduled sched-uled to attend the wool q rowers' convention, conven-tion, including L. S. Swift of Ohien,gn, the packing maiate; H. S. Coffin of' North Yfilrima. "Wash., a prominent sheepman of the northwest; Dr. Tssa Tanimnru of Tokio, Japan, who is in the United States n n representative, of the Japanese government, gov-ernment, gathering information relative to the sheep-raising Industry of this country, and W. C. Barnes of tho United States forestry service. Other prominent sheepmen and officials will deliver addresses ad-dresses on subject s of particular interest inter-est and im porta neo to the sheepmen of the country. Dr. R V. McPlure. secretary of the association, is estimating" that there will lie not less than 1000 sheepmen from j various sections of the country present at Ihe convention.
