Show i SELLING SEDITIOUS i LITERATURE CHARGE i i POCATELLO, Idaho. Aug. 12. Sheriff ' George Mahey has sworn out a complaint against Louis Gate wood and John Pender, Pen-der, charging thenV with criminal syndicalism, syn-dicalism, under the provisions of the law passed by the last session of the legisla- , ture. 1 They are accused of selling and circulating circu-lating literature advocating sabotage, violence vio-lence and methods of terrorism as a part of their propaganda for industrial and economic reforms. They were arrested several days ngo after Governor M. Alexander and Attorney Attor-ney General T. A. Walters had purchased books which they had on sale at the I. W. W. headquarters. On the complaint of Attorney General Walters, the place was closed at that time and the men have since been confined con-fined to the county jail. It is satd that they have been in communlcatirti with the I. W. W. headquarters at Spokane ' for the purpose of having the ablest at-I at-I torneys to be had to conduct their defense de-fense at their preliminary hearing. |
