Show PRISONERS TO BE HELD FOR MAXIMUM TIME That the l'tah indeterminate sentence low is constitutional is adjudged by the slate supreme court In a majority decision de-cision (landed down vesterdav in the'noted case of Sheldon Mutart against Arthur Pratt, former warden of the state prison. The majority decision holds, in substance, sub-stance, that where a judge shall sentence a convicted person lo a definite prison term, and that term is not the maximum nich may be imposed for that particular oftense under the statute, the warden of the state prison may hold his prisoner until tne maximum time shall have been served, provided that the sentence shall . not have been terminated at order of the board of pardons. . |
