The university drive was carried out under the direction of faculty members. Civilian Relief Work. At a well-atttnded meeting of the civilian relief committee, Salt Lake county coun-ty chapter of the Red Cross, held yesterday yester-day afternoon at the office. "1-0 East First South street. Miss Mae Hawley was formally placed in charge of the office, under Miss Kate "Williams, the executive secretary. Miss Hawley will also have direction of the volunteer civilian relief i work. The committee listened to an interest-inp interest-inp addiess by Mis. Amy Brown Lyman, one of the six Utah delegates who have recently returned from the civilian relief i institute held at Denver. Mrs. Lyman ; emphasized the pood work that is beinp done by the committee in making clear I the scope and purpose of civilian relief. ! particularly in regard to the provisions of the war risk insurance law, a matter to which the government is now giving special spe-cial and direct attention. It is one of the purposes of the civilian relief organization organ-ization to furnish free information a nd advice to all interested in this question.
