Show COMPLAINTS MADE OF BLOCKED CROSSINGS Special to The Tribune. CM'JOEN, Dee. 19. Charging that the crossing is blocked by one or more strings of tars for periods up to one hour, forty residents in the vicinity of Twenty-eighth Twenty-eighth street and Pacific avenue filed a petition with the city commissioners today to-day asking that some action be taken to overcome the nuisance. The matter was referred to Mayor A. R. Hey wood, who will confer with J. H. Dodds, superintendent superin-tendent of the Ogden Union Railway & Popot company on the matter. The commission also received a letter from Mrs. AY. K. Moore, secretary, stating stat-ing that the Federated Women's Clubs of Ogdon, at a meeting on December 3, had requested more rigid enforcement of the ordinance against promiscuous expectoration expecto-ration on the sidewalks. The same body al.so requested the publication of results on municipal milk tests. The matter was referred to Commissioner Chris Flygare, fthcad of the health department. |
